Payment/Autoload

In our canteens and cafeterias, at the coffee and snack vending machines and in the launderettes in the halls of residence, payment is always made with the student ID card (ecUM, HSCard, CampusCard) or the MensA-card. Students from other universities, university employees, state employees and other guests can purchase a MensA-card for a small deposit (6.00 euros) at our service points. All chip cards can be topped up with cash at the Studierendenwerk cash desks. However, payment and topping up is much quicker and more convenient with the cashless autoload procedure, which can also be arranged online and for which we also regularly offer various bonus and discount campaigns.

Chip card payment – cheap and fast

The fast payment process by card helps to reduce queues at the canteen checkouts and guarantees the most favourable price. In all canteens and cafeterias, however, it is also possible to pay in cash at at least one till – but due to the increased effort involved, a surcharge must be added to the respective card price. Students, employees and other guests should therefore only pay with chip cards in all Studierendenwerk facilities.

Cards fit everywhere

The cards – whether MensA-card, ecUM, HSCard or CampusCard – can be used anywhere. For example, after researching in the university library, students of the university or DHBW can also eat in the Schlossmensa and conveniently use their student ID card to pay.
