Service Packet
As many international students arrive in Mannheim with only the essentials for everyday life and spend the first few days getting used to a new city and a different culture and making the most of their time, we have put together a pack of things to make your arrival easier. The packs are delivered so that you have it in your room on the day you move in.
This service package is primarily intended for students in Mannheim who are staying in Mannheim as part of a recognised exchange programme/short-term programme and who have made all the necessary arrangements with the respective International Office.
International students who are not on an exchange programme can purchase a package while stocks last.

- Options may vary: 2 x free tickets/vouchers or Mannheim mug (reusable Mannheim to-go mug) or Studierendenwerk Mannheim key ring
- MensaCard worth EUR 30 – can be used in all Studierendenwerk facilities (e.g. canteens, cafeterias, launderettes)
- StarterKit kitchen (see below)
How can I book one?
- Request a service package on the housing application*
- If you have received an offer from us and selected one, you are qualified.
- Once the payment of 110 euros has been made, we will prepare a service pack for you and have it ready for your arrival.
Once payment has been made and your service package has been successfully purchased, you will receive an e-mail confirmation from us.
*Depending on the programme, you have the option of purchasing such a package directly when you apply for accommodation. If this is not the case, please let us know in the comments of the application or send us an e-mail.
