Here you can conveniently complete all formalities relating to BAföG online. Please select your request in the following pull-down menu and you can submit your application and documents. Forms 01 – 09 are required according to the “Allgemeine Verwaltungsvorschrift zur Bestimmung der Formblätter nach § 46 Absatz 3 des Bundesausbildungsförderungsgesetzes” (BAföG-FormblattVwV), the other forms of the Studierendenwerk Mannheim are not required according to this regulation. You can find all current information about BAföG and the required forms at www.bafög.de of the BMBF and www.bafoeg-digital.de.

Short application

Submit a brief application here to meet the deadline or for a non-binding trial calculation.

Deferral request

If the reclaim from an assessment notice cannot be settled within 4 weeks, an application for deferral can be made if necessary.

Graduation / Exmatriculation

Required in case of cancellation or termination of studies.

Change of specialisation

Required in the event of a change of specialisation or training objective.

Exceeding the maximum funding period

Required if delays have occurred in the course of study and the degree programme cannot be completed within the standard period of study.

Subsequent submission of proof of performance

In the event of delays in completing coursework (proof required from the 5th semester onwards).

For general questions, you can reach the BAföG office Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. by telephone on 0621/49072-444. Please note that no enquiries regarding the processing status or other application-related issues can be answered on this telephone number.
